Cision Pricing in 2026: What Buyers Actually Pay for CisionOne
Cision publishes no price list. We collected every buyer-reported number we could find, checked it against the vendor's own pages, and scored the deal.
Summary
Cision pricing is not public, so we collected what buyers actually report. CisionOne runs from about $3,500 to $25,000 a year, with a Vendr median of $12,625 across 107 purchases. PRWeb releases cost $120 to $480 each. G2 rates CisionOne 3.9 out of 5 from 1,367 reviews, Trustpilot gives Cision 1.6 from 33. Our desk-research score is 6.4 out of 10, with renewal terms as the main risk.
Cision is a legitimate PR and media monitoring suite, but its pricing is opaque. Buyers report $3,500 to $25,000 a year, with a Vendr median of $12,625 across 107 purchases. G2 rates CisionOne 3.9/5 from 1,367 reviews, Trustpilot only 1.6/5. Worth a quote if earned media is your job; skip it for outbound prospecting.

- Entry price points near $3,500 a year exist for a two-seat database-only deal, per Reddit self-reports
- No public price list: every CisionOne package is a sales-led quote, so you cannot budget before a call
- Trustpilot reviewers repeatedly describe auto-renewal with a 90-day cancellation window and weak support after signing
- G2 reviewers flag outdated contacts and missed coverage as the two most common complaints

How we built this review
- Plan paid
- None. No paid plan, no demo account.
- Version tested
- CisionOne public pages and review listings as of 1 November 2026
- Test period
- 2026-11-01 → 2026-11-01
We did not trial Cision, and we will not pretend otherwise. A hands-on test requires a contract. Instead, we read the official CisionOne pricing request page and the PRWeb price list, took our own screenshots of both on 1 November 2026, pulled the G2 listing (1,367 reviews) and the Trustpilot profile (33 reviews), and collected the buyer price reports from two Reddit threads in r/PublicRelations as summarized by Rephonic. We also read the Vendr benchmark as reported by Prezly, a Cision competitor, and AuthorityTech's planning ranges. Every figure carries its source, and each score rests on that evidence, not on our own use of the product.
Should you request a Cision quote?
YES if you...
- PR and comms teams that track earned media daily and need print, broadcast and online coverage in one report
- Agencies that must hand clients a coverage report each month and want a journalist database attached
- Organizations with a budget above $10,000 a year and a procurement process that tolerates custom quotes
NO if you...
- Growth teams that want named prospects describing a problem on Reddit, X or Discord, since Cision monitors media coverage, not buyer conversations
- Solo founders or small teams that need a fixed monthly price they can cancel in one click
- Anyone who cannot give 90 days notice before an annual renewal date
- Teams that only need to send a few press releases a year, where PRWeb at $120 per release is far cheaper
What Cision charges, as far as anyone can tell
Two price lists exist. PRWeb publishes per-release prices. CisionOne publishes nothing. The CisionOne figures below are buyer reports and benchmarks, not vendor prices.

CisionOne
Sales-led quote, four packages
- Journalist Outreach, Media Monitoring, Monitoring plus Social, and Suite packages
- Buyer reports range from $3,500 to $25,000 a year
- Vendr median: $12,625 a year across 107 purchases
- PR Newswire distribution quoted separately unless the proposal says otherwise
ROI breakdown: G2 reviewers report an average 14 months to return on investment and a 2 month implementation. At the $12,625 Vendr median, that is a commitment of roughly $14,700 before the platform pays back, if you reach the 14-month mark at all.
Hidden costs & gotchas
- Annual contracts renew automatically unless you cancel about 90 days before the end date, according to several Trustpilot reviewers
- One Trustpilot reviewer reports add-ons above $1,000 invoiced a week after purchase, with no order summary shown
- PR Newswire wire distribution needs its own quote and may not be included in CisionOne
- G2 lists an average negotiated discount of 12%, so the first quote is rarely the final price

Pros and cons
Pros
- One suite for database, monitoring and reporting G2 lists Ease of Use (69 mentions), Media Outreach (39) and Coverage Quality (36) as the top positives. G2's review summary says users like having the PR tools consolidated on one platform.
- Broad media coverage, including broadcast and podcasts One G2 reviewer cites TV, radio and podcast alerts; Rephonic reports about 60,000 podcasts in the database.
- Account managers are praised by enterprise users Reviewers on G2 mention a named account manager as a reason they stay, even when the support portal is slow.
- Cheaper than the largest competitor for some buyers One G2 reviewer says cost is high but lower than the biggest rival; another says it was far more economic than their previous provider.
Cons
- No public pricing for any CisionOne package Four packages, zero prices. Budget holders cannot compare vendors before a sales call, and quotes vary by a factor of seven in buyer reports.
- Auto-renewal with a 90-day cancellation window At least five Trustpilot reviews between 2024 and 2026 describe being charged for another year after missing the notice date.
- Data accuracy and missed coverage G2 tags Data Inaccuracy (37 mentions) and Incomplete Media Coverage (25) among the top negatives; one reviewer reports a 25% bounce rate on a single release.
- Support gap after the sale Trustpilot reviewers describe a hands-on sales process followed by slow, scripted support. G2 reviewers praise support more often, so experience varies by account.
- Built for media relations, not for finding buyers Cision tracks coverage and journalists. It does not return named people describing a problem in a Reddit thread, which is the job Crowd Scope readers hire a tool for.
Cision is a fair PR suite with an unfair buying process
Cision does what it claims for a PR team: it monitors coverage, builds journalist lists and produces reports. G2 reviewers give it 3.9 out of 5 across 1,367 reviews, and 80% of them rate it four or five stars. That is a solid base.
The problem is the buying process. There is no price list, quotes in the wild span $3,500 to $25,000 a year, and Trustpilot is full of reviewers who describe auto-renewal traps. A 1.6 TrustScore from 33 reviews is small, but the complaints repeat the same three points: renewal terms, add-on invoices and support after the sale. Treat those as questions to put in writing before you sign.
For Crowd Scope readers the fit question is simple. If your goal is to find strangers who describe your customer's problem, Cision is the wrong category: it watches media coverage of a brand and does not surface individual buyers. Use it for earned media and reporting, and demand a quote that lists seats, modules, PR Newswire and the notice date.
Our score is 6.4 out of 10. It reflects a capable product, a weak purchase experience and a mismatch with outbound work. We would revisit it if Cision published prices.
- Pricing transparency 3/10 Zero public CisionOne prices
- Monitoring and coverage 7.5/10 Strong breadth, some gaps reported
- Journalist database 7/10 Useful, but contacts can be stale
- Contract terms and support 4.5/10 Renewal and support complaints repeat
- Fit for outbound signal work 4/10 Media-first, not buyer-first
