Skywork AI Review (2026): 51 User Reports, One Verdict

51 Trustpilot reviews, a Reddit thread of PhD researchers, and our own screenshots, cross-checked against Skywork's live pages.

Summary

Skywork AI packs seven agents (slides, docs, sheets, sites, images, video, podcasts) into one workspace built on Nano Banana Pro and Deep Research. It's genuinely capable at slides and images. But Skywork's Trustpilot score sits at 1.4 out of 5 across 51 reviews, almost all about a free trial that silently converts into $200 to $500 charges.

6.2 /10

Skywork AI packs seven agents (slides, docs, sheets, sites, images, video, podcasts) into one Nano Banana Pro-powered workspace, and its Deep Research Slides mode earns real praise from Reddit researchers over Gamma. But Skywork's Trustpilot score sits at 1.4 out of 5 across 51 reviews as of August 2026, almost all citing a free trial that silently converts into $200 to $500 charges with no visible cancel button. Capability is real. Billing trust is not.

  • 1.4/5 Trustpilot score from 51 reviews, almost all about surprise $200-500 auto-renewal charges
  • Credit system has changed three times since early 2026, so real cost-per-task keeps shifting
  • No visible cancel button reported by multiple users, some resorted to bank chargebacks

Methodology

How we investigated Skywork AI

Version tested
Home workspace, Skill Hub, and Business Space audited live on skywork.ai, August 9, 2026
Test period
2026-06-21 → 2026-08-09
Test categories: Public interface audit with first-party screenshots • Cross-platform review mining (Trustpilot, Reddit, Product Hunt, G2) • Pricing page verification against skywork.ai/sku • Third-party hands-on report cross-check (eesel, July 20, 2026)

Crowd Scope didn't pay for a Skywork subscription to write this review. Instead we ran the kind of cross-platform investigation we run on every tool: we audited Skywork's live public pages directly (home workspace, Skill Hub, Business Space) on August 9, 2026, capturing our own screenshots rather than reusing marketing renders. Then we cross-referenced that interface against 51 Trustpilot reviews (unclaimed, unprompted profile, dated June 21 through August 3, 2026), a Reddit thread of PhD researchers comparing Skywork's Slides Agent to Gamma, Skywork's own pricing page, and eesel's July 20, 2026 hands-on report, which ran the paid trial through the billing flow that the pattern below made too risky for us to repeat blind. Where a number comes from a source we didn't generate ourselves, we name that source. We did not fabricate a 30-day paid test: the documented billing pattern made that a real financial risk, and being honest about that risk is more useful to a reader than a fake hands-on narrative.

Should you sign up for Skywork?

YES if you...

  • You want one login to turn a research brief into a slide deck, a doc, and a landing page instead of stitching together Canva, Gamma, and a separate AI writer
  • You're a solo founder or PMM who wants Deep Research-cited slides for board decks or investor updates
  • You mainly need visuals: Nano Banana Pro image quality plus layer-level editing beats most single-purpose AI image tools
  • You'll spend 10 minutes reading the cancellation terms and set a calendar reminder before any trial converts

NO if you...

  • You need predictable per-task cost for a production workflow; Skywork's credit system has changed three times in a few months
  • You want an established buyer-review base to check before purchase; G2 shows 0 reviews and Trustpilot sits at 1.4/5
  • You need agency-grade website output; the Websites agent is MVP-quality, not a Webflow or Framer replacement
  • You've read the Trustpilot thread and don't want to fight a hidden cancel button if a free trial auto-converts

Monthly Pro

$19.99 /mo

Full feature access

  • About 7,000 credits/month
  • Full Deep Research mode
  • Commercial usage rights
  • Premium exports: PPTX, DOCX, PDF

ROI breakdown: At the advertised ~7,000 monthly credits, Annual Pro works out to about $12.50/month, cheaper than paying separately for a slide tool, an image generator, and a website builder. That math only holds if the credit meter stays put: Skywork has changed its consumption model three times since early 2026, most recently announcing it is removing credits again for an 'Ultra Membership'.

Hidden costs & gotchas
  • Credits are consumed per generation, not per seat: Trustpilot reviewers report a single failed video render burning a meaningful share of a monthly allowance
  • The $1 trial auto-converts to a full annual or monthly charge if you don't cancel before the 7-day window closes
  • No published per-credit dollar rate exists on the public pricing page, so real cost-per-output is hard to estimate before you sign up

Pros and cons

Pros

  • Seven agents under one login Slides, docs, sheets, websites, images, video, and podcasts all run off the same SkyClaw agent and credit pool, replacing 4-5 separate subscriptions for a solo operator.
  • Deep Research Slides mode beats design-first tools on substance A PhD researcher on Reddit (r/PhdProductivity) said Skywork 'generates structured, academic-grade charts rather than corporate visuals' and preferred it over Gamma for scientific decks.
  • Nano Banana Pro image quality plus Layer Splitting The Images agent runs on Google's Nano Banana Pro model and lets you split a generated image into editable layers, a feature no single-purpose AI image tool in this price range offers.

Cons

  • 1.4/5 Trustpilot score built almost entirely on billing complaints Dated reviews document a $203.90 annual charge with zero product usage (Jun 10, 2026) and a $509.90 charge after a 7-day trial (Jul 17, 2026), both disputed with no refund granted.
  • The credit system has changed three times since early 2026 Skywork moved from unlimited generation (2.0) to a fast-burning credit meter (3.0), and has since announced it is removing credits again for an 'Ultra Membership,' per eesel's July 20, 2026 report.
  • No visible cancel button, per multiple dated reports Several Trustpilot reviewers between June and August 2026 describe searching the site and app for a cancellation option and finding none, resorting to bank chargebacks instead.
  • Website agent output stays MVP-quality, not agency-grade The Websites agent publishes real React-based sites to a subdomain or custom domain, but the output is closer to a fast draft than a Webflow or Framer-level build.
Verdict

Final verdict

6.2 /10

Skywork AI is not vaporware. Seven working agents share one credit pool, the Deep Research Slides mode produces decks with real citations and charts, and the Images agent's Nano Banana Pro output plus Layer Splitting genuinely compete with single-purpose tools costing more on their own. If your job is turning a research brief into a deck, a doc, and a site in one sitting, the capability is there.

What we can't wave off is a 1.4/5 Trustpilot score built on 51 reviews, most describing the same pattern: a free trial that silently converts into a $200 to $500 annual charge, with no visible cancel button and slow or absent refunds. Pair that with a credit system that has already changed three times since early 2026, and the honest read is that Skywork's product team is ahead of its billing and trust systems.

Recommended for: solo founders, PMMs, and researchers who read trial terms closely and want broad AI output under one login. Not recommended for: anyone who needs predictable per-task cost for production work, or who isn't willing to set a calendar reminder before a trial converts.

Common questions about Skywork AI

Is Skywork AI a scam?
No, it produces real output across seven agents. But its Trustpilot score is 1.4/5 across 51 reviews, and most one-star reviews describe a free trial that auto-converts into a $200-500 charge with no visible cancel button. Read the trial terms before you enter payment details.
How much does Skywork AI cost?
Free tier with limited weekly credits, a $1-for-7-days trial (800 daily credits, auto-converts), Monthly Pro at $19.99/month (~7,000 credits), and Annual Pro at $149.99/year (about $12.50/month). There's no published per-credit dollar rate.
Does Skywork AI's free trial auto-charge?
Yes. Multiple Trustpilot reviewers between June and August 2026 report the $1 trial converting into annual charges of $200-509.90 without a clear notification, and describe difficulty finding a cancel button.
What can Skywork AI actually create?
Seven agent types: slides (with a Deep Research mode), documents, spreadsheets, websites, images (on Nano Banana Pro), video, and podcasts, all from a single SkyClaw prompt box.
Is Skywork AI better than Gamma for slides?
For research-heavy, citation-backed decks, a Reddit PhD user preferred Skywork's structured, academic-grade output over Gamma. For pure design polish, reviewers say Gamma still wins.
What image model does Skywork AI use?
Skywork's Images agent runs on Google's Nano Banana Pro model, plus GPT Image 2, on an editable canvas with a Layer Splitting feature for per-element edits.
How do I cancel a Skywork AI subscription?
Several users report no functional cancel button on the website or in app-store subscription managers, and unresponsive email support. Some resolved it only via a bank chargeback.
Does Skywork AI have G2 or Capterra reviews?
As of August 2026, G2 shows 0 reviews for Skywork AI, not enough for a buying-insight score, and we found no active Capterra listing. Trustpilot and Reddit are the more populated sources right now.
